We help GPs stand out and reach their fundraising target, from positioning and documentation through to closing, with a particular focus on managers whose LP relationships are still developing.
Convero works with both established GPs raising follow-on funds and emerging managers raising their first fund, primarily in buyout, with some growth and special situations mandates.
We support both spin-out teams emerging from established GPs and newly formed teams with deep private equity experience as they raise their first fund.
For established lower mid-market GPs, a recurring pattern is strong performance and a healthy re-up rate in their home market, but limited visibility with international pension funds, insurance groups, fund-of-funds and family offices that can diversify and institutionalise their LP base.
What connects them is not size alone but stage: managers with a genuine investment track record and the ambition to build a broader institutional platform.
Every primary fundraising mandate runs on the same full-service model: positioning and storyline development, preparation of institutional-grade documentation and marketing material, and investor targeting and distribution, managed end to end by a dedicated project and distribution team. Whether the client is a first-time fund building its materials from a blank page or an established manager running a follow-on raise, the scope is the same, calibrated to how much of the groundwork, documentation, positioning, existing LP relationships, is already in place.
Shape the fundraising plan and build institutional-grade materials.
Targeted outreach, roadshows, and ConveroConnect investor events.
Manage information flow and keep investors moving through the process.
Manage allocations through to signing.
We run this process so the GP can stay focused on the portfolio, not the fundraise.
Our mandate with Mill Reef Capital illustrates the value of a long-term relationship. Mill Reef closed its first fund at its hard cap during a difficult fundraising environment (Fund I, €180m, 2021), followed by a second fund at a larger hard cap two years later (Fund II, €380m, 2023).
Between the two fundraises, our work with Mill Reef continued through ongoing investor engagement and relationship development, maintaining and deepening relationships with existing and prospective LPs ahead of the next fundraise.
